Originally constructed as a barn some 200 years ago, Chalet Julien has been renovated to a high specification. The renovation has been carried out sympathetically with the original blackened beams restored to their former glory and flagstone floors sourced from the Dordogne.

 

As old style meets new innovation the latest entertainment system with speakers in each bedroom & bathroom has been discreetly intorduced.  At a touch of a button you can select from music, radio, DVD or satellite channels to be piped into your room.

 

The overall effect is of an elegant country house with a very spacious living area complete with a impressive fire place and comfortable sofa’s.

 

There are five beautifully decorated and furnished bedrooms fully equipped with mod cons such as flatscreen televisions, hairdryers etc. Chalet Julien comprises numerous delights, in addition to the hot tub and steam room, Egyptian cotton bed linen, Molton Brown toiletries, bathrobes and slippers. All five bedrooms can be configured as king size doubles or twins and all rooms are en suite with a bath and/or a shower. There is also a family room with a private mezzanine. Without question, Chalet Julien offers the perfect balance between contemporary style and comfort.

There are two separate seating areas with very comfy sofas, one by the fireplace and one on the mezzanine floor where there is also large cinema TV screen. The kitchen, living room and dining areas are open-plan ideal for socialising with friends and your hosts alike.

Chalet Julien is located in St Jean d'Aulps with fabulous uninterrupted views of the valley. It is 10 minutes from Morzine and less than 5 minutes from the local ski area "La Grand Terche“. The village St Jean d'Aulps is an unspoilt, Savoyard village which is a short drive from various different ski locations leaving you with a variety of options each day.  If you wish, we can offer advice on the most suitable locations for you during your stay. We offer a free shuttle service to and from the lifts each day, just let us know where you are and we will pick you up with our 8 seater minibus.
